CARDV assists in facilitating Callaway County’s Coordinated Community Response Team (CCRT). This task force enables collaboration with the members from the Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Probation and Parole, MEND, Callaway Circuit Clerk, Fulton Police Department, Holts Summit Police Department, Callaway County Sheriffs Office, and various other members of the 13th Judicial Circuit Court. Our goals consist of:
- Collaborating to develop, implement, and enhance a uniform, comprehensive system to investigate domestic and sexual
violence cases - Holding offenders accountable
- Promoting deterrence
- Advocating for and assist victims
- Interrupting the cycle of violence and its continuation from one generation to the next
- Aiding local and regional efforts to respond to domestic and sexual violence
- Ensuring that our community is providing the best services possible to survivors of domestic and sexual violence.
All members of our CCRT team have different roles and responsibilities within the community pertaining to assisting survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Each member is also governed by different confidentiality policies and statues. As a result, members routinely define and clarify confidentiality issues that arise while pursuing collaborating. Due to CARDV’s confidentiality policy, CARDV staff members do not share or release any information with other members without explicit and written consent from the survivor.
